Belly-shaking Kung-fu Kicks

My daughter seems to be very fond of constantly reminding me that she's in there. Alive and kicking! Sometimes it gets so intense that i feel punches and kicks in all directions and you can even see the activity going on in there. Could she be hinting that her landlady is not giving her enough room? Frankly, I don't blame her. With my appetite coming back with a vengeance and my attitude of better eat all I want now ('coz after this, it's back to a lifetime of diets, baby) I'm sure my stomach is now competing with my womb for space under my stretched-close-to-tearing-point skin.

Funny thing is, dad is squeamish about the whole thing. Sure he found it cute initially when we first felt her move in there, when they were merely flutters in my belly. But 2 weeks ago, after she had been attacking the same spot more than a couple of times, I placed his hand on it and just after she kicked again, he withdrew faster than you can say "ouch!". His reaction surprised me more than anything but as soon as I saw the look on his face (the one that spells "Eeeeyerrr... get away from me!"), I knew exactly what he was conjuring up in that warped mind of his..... Images of little worm-like heads bursting out of a human abdomen ala Aliens, of course! Even now when I ask him to pat my tummy and talk to baby, he'll first ask "Is she kicking?".
