Status Quo

Went to see Doc on Wednesday and he says her head is still not engaged. Hmm... seems bambino isn't as eager to come out as everyone thinks she is. Somehow, I've been getting lots of comments from people including hubby that she'll be out earlier than expected. Must be my size!

Anyway, the good thing is, placenta and level of amniotic fluid are still healthy so no need to worry.... yet! And that's the reason why I'm still at work (intend to work right up to delivery). Wouldn't want to be staying at home with a wandering mind. In any case, I won't even be sitting still at home. With my strong nesting instincts, I'd probably be climbing my kitchen countertop and vacuuming the tops of the cabinets if I could.

Had a small panic attack the other day. Was in bed and suddenly it hit me that she'd be out in only a week or 2. Before this, it was months and then weeks and now, it could be anytime!!! Am I really ready to have my life transformed?

How Round Can You Grow?

Was taking a look in the mirror at my side profile a few minutes ago and only then did I realise how round I was! No wonder hubby has been calling me "round round" for the past few weeks. I don't mind as long as it's not "fat fat".


I'm as ready to pop as I'll ever be but after my last appointment with Dr Guna yesterday, I hope she'll wait a while. Doc will be attending an international gynae's conference from next Mon-Fri and he's the secretary so if I do go into labour next week, chances are, he won't be the one delivering babes. Furthermore, most of the other obstetricians will be attending it as well so we won't even know which of the DSH doctors will be the one to come to my rescue.

But judging from my appearance, everyone seems to think that she'll be out sooner than the 19th. So darling, please hang on in there... at least till the 13th.
